The Shawshank Redemption.

I recommend anybody watch it; it portrays the power of knowledge/intelligence.

+1 to that, also a very good film. Love the unexpected twist.

In public I have to say The Matrix, The Godfather or Goodfellas. In private I'd admit American Beauty, Garden State or Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.

Without doubt the top spot goes to Life of Brian.

All time favorite, low budget, light on special effects, Colossus The Forbin Project.  1970.

How could any geek not love a movie about a giant computer that takes over the world?

Spose Saving Private Ryan, though I like the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, although it's rather childish it's still quite good, also the soundtrack is amazing.

Pulp Fiction and The Usual Suspects are probably top of my list. Also +1 on The Shawshank Redemption being a great movie though :relaxed:

I definetly reccommend all 3 of these if you haven't seen them already.
