henryjsaunders, I'm not sure if you were looking for a quick start guide or a more in depth one, but I found this was a nice one to get people started with VB.

If you were looking for a more in depth guide, well I don't know enough about the language to say much more.

Anyways back to the topic, I've been working with Python for a little bit now. It is a pretty easy language for a newbie to learn.

Am I the first to say Python? I would seriously recommend it as a starter language. It is very easy to learn even without prior programming knowledge.

Whilst most people would rather start with better known languages (Java, C++, etc.), Python is a much more effective starting point due to it's readable syntax and power.
