Hopefully this will not be another distro-war thread :relaxed:

Ok, I've been using Ubuntu since 7.10 I guess, and I think it's pretty much perfect. I never had any big issues, like non-working drivers and so on. But if I had begun with another distro it might have become my favourite distro aswell.

On my EEE I'm also using an Ubuntu-Version: eeebuntu. That's because it's the only distro that fully supported my netbook out-of-the-box.

I also have Linux Mint installed in a VirtualBox, and I think that's another cool distro.

bye

My favorite would have to be Fedora 11.

I use Linux Mint mostly, but I fire up Ubuntu occasionally.
I tried Damn Small Linux but it's actually bigger than Mint. FAIL. lol

DSL isn't really made to be installed to hard disk like Ubuntu is, the compressed image is suppose to be on the HDD, put into RAM then run. Extensions are put on the hard disk too, but they arn't installed into the OS.

I actually use Virtual Appliances in VirtualBox to run them, and it runs quite nicely. I guess I was doing DSL wrong tho lol
