OK so lets been honest, this country is in a bit of a mess at the moment what with all the stabbings and shootings and personally i think that the inflation of foreigners and asylum seekers is getting a bit out of hand.  So who would you like to see put in charge to try and sort this proud island that is BRITAIN out?

Me personally would like to see the BNP put in charge, but hey I'm sure there are plenty of people that are going to call me racist and so on but whats wrong with wanting to keep Britain, British!

I don't think the influx of immigrants into this country has a lot to do with the recent spate of stabbings - most of the victims and perpetrators were not recent immigrants.  The problem goes much deeper than this.  I work with young people every day in my job and what I see are young people who have been brought up to think that the whole world revolves around them and that no one and nothing can touch them.  This isn't their fault - it's society's fault for being far too indulgent for far too long - adults have become emasculated and have very little power in terms of authority and discipline.  This is obvious from young people's attitudes to anyone in authority, although of course, it doesn't apply to every young person in the country.  Additionally, this isn't the only factor - the family unit in this country is now almost non-existent for a lot of young people and there is no guidance from parents who are frequently as badly behaved as their offspring.  Again, I see this frequently - the attitude where parents refuse to accept that their children can ever do anything wrong and that it's always someone else's fault.  It's going to take a complete change of attitude and approach to change this and it will take years - if it ever happens at all, and I say this because I don't think any political party has the strength of will to introduce the sort of changes that would address the problems we have in our society today.

I want to see conservatives put in-charge and get socialism out of parliament. Then we can have a decent immigration system. Not just one that lets everyone in a people get a visor by doing nothing. They don't make but of an attempt to get illegal immigrants out.

Opened up a can of worms here.

Remeber the state of public services under the Tories? Horrendous. Honestly, I just see people panicing with all the global economic troubles. People aren't being realistic. They want someone to solve it all magically, they want all of the pros, with none of the cons. We'll see just have to see how much better it really is.

Me personally would like to see the BNP put in charge, but hey I'm sure there are plenty of people that are going to call me racist and so on but whats wrong with wanting to keep Britain, British!

We're a member of the European Union. You can go into any country in the EU and get the same benefits as these people. I think that you don't really know what you're talking about, illegal immigrants aren't getting any of these.

The grass is always greener on the other side...

you sound like a socialist. Hmmm. You think that joining the EU was a good idea. All it has done is made our country poorer. Another thing that labour wanted to do was the Lisbon Treaty. Doing that would kick them out of government. Does anyone want the united states of europe. it sounds dreadful.

I can see why alot of people have turned to voting bnp. I myself support labour, but at the current state of the country it's gonna be hard to vote for them. I don't think i'll ever vote tory, lib dems or bnp.

I do think there needs to be a tighter grip on immigration, don't get me wrong immigration is a good thing, many years ago the irish and sikhs came and built things they worked hard and for little money. and the polish are doing it now. England needs to adopt a similar rule as they do in australia where you have to have a specific skill to come over.

I would also agree with that now that our population levels are so high. I wasn't saying that immigration wasn't a problem earlier, although I couldn't quite see some of the leaps on logic that were being made.

There's been vilifying of immigrants in every country since the beginning of time. They are blamed for almost all of society's woes. We don't have to look very far to see recent historical examples of demonising other races and attempting to charge them with all that is wrong with the country. It's effective rhetoric and conflates patriotism with racism, so that the two seem to be the same. They're not.

No, The BNP should not be in power. They are a racist organisation. They do not allow non-whites to join, they are now attempting to utilise current anti-Muslim sentiment; they have also used antisemitic propaganda, anti-black propaganda and so forth. The leader is also a hypocrite, he has a black girlfriend and his loyalty to the "cause" is under question. They are opportunist bigots. Racists have no place in a modern democratic country. Civilised society does not countenance bigotry and or vote in leaders with unfounded prejudices against millions of the country's population.

To the OP: When you state that you may be considered a racist, and then ask what is wrong with that; you've already stepped beyond the realm of reasonable discussion. If you do not consider yourself to be a racist; then look long and hard at what the BNP actually is and what it represents.
