Ok, so I actually have 2 questions here.
1, can I burn an ISO to DVD and still have it work, or does it HAVE to be CD?

2, is there a way to view them without burning to a disk?

Thanks =D

A .iso is just an image, so you can burn it to a DVD. You can use 7zip to view a .iso file without burning or mounting it in a virtual drive.

How can I do that? I tried to open it with 7z but it just showed the files in it. Is that what you meant, or something different?

Thanks for responding =D

An iso image is effectively a fancy archive.
Programs such as WinRAR and 7-zip can extract files from them.

You can also use programs such as Daemon Tools to emulate the images too, which is easier and more efficient than extracting indivdual file(s).

Of course there's tools designed specifically for opening iso archives (MagicISO, PowerISO and ISOBuster to name a few), but they cost money.

Yes you can burn an ISO to a CD or DVD and I recommend using a program called Daemon Tools. It creates a virtual disk drive that you have host an ISO on and its free for the lite version.
