NOTE: This article is for reference only. As of late versions of Windows 10, this option is now built in under Personalise > Colours.

Have you noticed that when you choose the colours in your personalization options in Windows 10, the colours that show on the preview don't actually apply to windows that you might use (such as explorer)? Have you noticed that if you apply a tweak or download a theme to enable this functionality and choose a darker colour, the text stays black so you can no longer read it?

Microsoft seems to have addressed the colour matching issue in Insider preview build 10525, but for those of us who aren't on that build yet, or those of us who are still looking to get that dark theme with white text on our title bars:
  1. Download UltraUXThemePatcher and patch your system (not patching? See This Post)
  2. Restart your system
  3. Download Colored Bar Title Theme for Windows 10 by mare-m
  4. Copy the themes contained in the file to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
  5. Double click all theme files you copied in the directory

You should now be able to see and customise your new theme

Enjoy!
