Early Days

There's much to be added here, so stay tuned!

What happened to DuncsWeb?

Boy, a lot can happen in 4 or 5 years.

Before DuncsWeb's existence

In the really early days, there was a successful forum called "mob3", which was an accompaniment to the ▶️ Youtube Channel. Looking at the WayBack Machine, mob3 hit over 50,000 Forum Posts. It even had an Arcade!

Other projects (rightly) gone to the forgotten lands: GeekBio (essentially a rebrand), FeedMaze.

DuncsWeb as a Tech Blog

Back when blogs were the thing to have, DuncsWeb was an attempt at providing tech news and how-tos. It had a slogan of "Computing. Internet. Life." - This involved myself and guest writers posting various topics.

DuncsWeb as a Minecraft Community

⛏️ Minecraft as a game really took over in the early 2010's and DuncsWeb pivoted into a Gaming-centric community. At the time various servers had changed the game from a creative outlet to a place to digitally live in. There were competitions, live steams, an IRC Server (which then migrated to a Discord Server) that could speak to the game and even a Radio Show!

The website pivoted to be run on Enjin (back when it was hosting gaming guilds instead of Cryto Projects) which had it's own Forum, online map & Auction house. The in-game currency was called "gigs" as a throwback to the Tech Blog, being short for gigabytes.

DuncsWeb Today

Now, this site is a collection of past and present, mixing thoughts and referential material.
