TuneUp Utilities 2010 is the latest version of the famous Optimizing tool. With TuneUp Utilities, you can remove useless shortcuts, remove invalid registry entries, uninstall software, make your PC run much faster, and even more options.
Maintain System:
The first option of the software, is the Maintain System option. Here, you can find 5 diferent options to make your PC faster/cleaning it properly:
* Optimize System Startup and Shutdown;
* Defragment Hard Disks;
* Remove Broken Shortcuts;
* Defragment Registry;
* Clean Registry.
In this part, you can also modify some of the configurations by going to “Change Settings”. You can specify a specific time so that TuneUp Utilities performs the maintenance automatically.
You can also configure and activate “1 Click Maintenance”, one of the best tools inside TuneUp Utilities 2010. With this option, you can maintain all the options you want inside TuneUp Utilities with a single click.
Better Performance:
In this section, youi have 5 diferent applications, to make your PC faster:
* Configure Live Optimization;
* Turn On Turbo Mode;
* Gain Disk Space;
* Configure System Start;
* Display And Uninstall Programs.
Live Optimization on TuneUp Utilities 2010 works just like an Antivirys does: It’s watching your PC all the time when activated, and comes on to fix something that for some reason, went wrong.
Turbo Mode makes your PC to run much faster, by disabling options you don’t need, and this is useful if you want to play games, etc. You can also make Turbo Mode to run when your Windows PC starts up.
Fix Problems:
The third section on TuneUp Utilities has 4 diferent options:
* Fix common problems;
* Restore deleted files;
* Check hard disks for errors;
* Manage running programs.
The option to fix common problems lets you fix simple problems related to the taskbar, to the quick launch bar, and to the missing of icons like the My Computer, Recycle Bin, My Documents, etc. This also has much more fixing options. The manage running programs option is a more advanced version of the Task Manager that comes with Windows.
Style Windows:
In the TuneUp Styler, you can change the BootScreen, Logon Screen, the Theme, the Icons, and much more Styling options, without even patching the system. You just need to download the file, and add it onto TuneUp Styler. On the other options, which are the Start Menu and Taskbar, you can change the options of them, disabling eyecandy, or just making the menus pop up faster or slower.
TuneUp Utilities 2010 is a Windows only application, and can be downloaded from here.

I love the new interface in TuneUp 2010. It's more simple and easier to use. Also the new features, Live Optimization and Turbo Mode, are very useful since I'm a gamer.
Very valid in the days of XP64 because nothing else offered what it did.
Rather pointless today in the Windows 7 era in light of apps like Ultimate Windows Tweaker and other freeware gems.This app no longer has relevance.
