Review: Synergy- Connect 1 Mouse/Keyboard To Multiple Computers (Virtual KVM)

When asked my top 5 favorite applications synergy is near the top spot , this application is a must for anyone who has multiple computers set up and instead of having to switch for example from your desktop to your laptop to get something done over there just set up synergy. It shares your keyboard and mouse virtually on the network to multiple computers so think of hooking all your machines to one keyboard and mouse , equaling less hassle , more productive and overall just much easier and convenient. The best part of the software is that it’s cross platform and works for Linux, Windows, OSX.

Setup takes a little time and configuration but in the end is worth it, you can also set hot keys to switch from one pc to another or even lock to one screen for example if your gaming and don’t want the cursor to switch over then just hit your hot key and your good to go. As far determining where the computers are synergy requires you put in data like PC1 is left of PC2  though PC is substituted with your actual computer name.

After all of that you pick your server computer and click info to get your ip address then simply plug that address on the other computers and hit start.

The application is open-source and is yet to be updated as of recent , the project has been sidelined but for the most part isn’t too buggy and works decent for only being on version 1.3 hopefully some developers will pick it back up and work on the interface and introduce some more features.

If your still having trouble setting up the application then
